At Anthony Middle School, our Robotics program is about much more than building robots. It is about building problem-solvers and providing our students with access to current technology and hands-on STEM expereinces. Through robotics and coding clubs, students learn to turn their ideas into something they can build and program.
As a Title I school serving students in a rural community, Anthony Middle School offers an afterschool Robotics and Coding Club that is open to all of our students. We want every student who is curious about technology to have an opportunity to explore coding, engineering, robotics, and design—regardless of their previous experience.
Our students are also learning that building a successful program takes creativity and initiative. They have already worked to support our program through fundraising projects such as designing, 3D printing, and selling keychains. They are willing to work for their goals, and now we are asking our community to help us take the next step.
Technology changes quickly, and many of the robots we currently use will soon become outdated. Funds raised through our school campaign and donation match will help us purchase new robotics equipment so our students can continue learning with relevant, up-to-date technology.
Funds will also help us:
-Purchase new robots and robotics equipment
- Expand coding and programming opportunities
- Purchase Robotics team T-shirts to build pride and a sense of belonging
- Encourage more girls to become involved in coding, robotics, and STEM
- Support our afterschool Robotics and Coding Club
- Give more students access to hands-on STEM experiences
