Loretto Academy is one of the oldest educational institutions in the El Paso area and remains a treasured part of our community. Founded by the Sisters of Loretto in 1923, the Academy has carried forward their legacy of faith, education, service, and the arts for more than a century. For generations of alumnae and Loretto families, our campus is more than a school, it is a historic El Paso gem filled with meaningful traditions and memories.
Our historic Little Theatre, continues to provide a special place where students develop confidence, discover their talents, and share their creativity. The theatre’s sound system is more than 20 years old, and its microphones and lighting no longer fully meet the needs of today’s student productions. While updating the theatre’s technology is a larger long-term project, this campaign will allow us to begin with an attainable first phase: purchasing new microphones and lighting equipment.
These improvements will benefit student performers, musicians, dancers, technical crews, and students participating in assemblies and other school programs. They will also enhance the experience of the families, alumnae, and community members who attend performances in this historic space.
By supporting this initiative, donors will help preserve an important part of Loretto’s history while giving today’s students the tools they need to be seen, heard, and celebrated on stage.
